Of the many singers Rainbow had, their biggest success came when Joe Lyn Turner took over vocal duties in the 80’s. Hits like “Stone Cold”, “Street Of Dreams” and “Can’t Let You Go” propelled the band to their most successful time right before their break up. Since then Turner has been the singer for Yngwei Malmsteen and Deep Purple as well as releasing several solo albums. His 11th solo effort is called Belly Of The Beast and has him venturing into the very heavy are of European Power Metal. Turner talks to Mike Hsu about the new direction and his musical legacy.
