Today Mike Hsu spoke with Victoria Mariano, she shared exciting details about the upcoming “Movies on the Common” series in Downtown Worcester. This free monthly event, hosted by the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District, the City of Worcester, and their generous sponsors, is set to bring a delightful array of outdoor cinema experiences to the Worcester Common Oval. From June through October 2024, five movie nights will light up Downtown Worcester. Each event begins with pre-movie activities starting at 6:00 PM, offering a range of fun, family-friendly entertainment and local food vendors. The movies will then be projected on a large outdoor screen as night falls. Victoria emphasized the importance of arriving early due to limited space, and encouraged attendees to bring their own blankets and chairs for a comfortable viewing experience. Seating will also be available on the Common for those who prefer not to bring their own.
